There are 2 ways to accomplish remote access to our applications that are installed on a client’s server. (On-Premise)
VPN / RDP. With a VPN and RDP configured properly anyone with the credentials can log into a workstation (preferably their personal workstation) and access our applications. This is accomplished completely by the client’s IT services.
https. Setting up https requires creating a web name in IIS with DNS resolution. We can then configure our applications to work with https. This is a little less secure for the application but more secure for the servers/workstations. This is accomplished initially by a client’s IT services to set up https in IIS and then FYISoft will configure the applications for https.
